Fishcombe Cove and Breakwater Beach are within easy walking distance of Rose Cottage. Fishcombe Cove is a haven for dogs who like a dip or a ball thrown, and Breakwater Beach has a cafe/restaurant and plenty to see, with the Torbay Lifeboat moored nearby and The trawlers coming in and out of the harbour past the Breakwater. Many types of Boat trips are available from the Harbour in the Town. Fishing, Sightseeing, Fireworks tours and The Passenger ferry to Torquay. The Vigilance, Brixham's own Heritage Trawler, has trips available through the summer. The Golden Hind is Brixham's Full size Replica of the original Ship.
Torbay is one of only eight Geo-parks in England and Ireland, Berry Head is part of this and to the South West of Brixham, forming the end of Torbay. Brixham Regatta takes place in August each year and features Trawler Races, Fireworks and a Funfair spread over four days.
